Five Special Children and a Race Against Time
RBN Web Desk: Five special children, all hearing and speech impaired, are not taken home by their parents during the summer holidays because of various reasons. They stay back in the school hostel. One morning they find a number of strangers moving inside their school, seemingly hunting a safe refuge for some days. The children decide to investigate.
They soon find out that these strangers are actually planning to orchestrate a terror attack in Kolkata. They pull all stops and race against time to prevent the attack.
Samrat Banik, Suhrid Choudhury, Ankita Pramanik, Soham Roy and Nausheen Das play the five special children Raju, Piku, Imli, Arko, and Titli respectively in Shobdo Kolpo Droom (the sound of silence), a thriller directed by Sudeep Das. They are supported by a prominent cast that includes Dhritiman Chatterjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Anindya Pulak Banerjee, Samadarshi Dutta, Sumit Samaddar, and others.
Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee has lent his voice to Sukumar Roy’s epochal poem on which the film’s name is based.
The film was lying in the cans for several years because of lack of distributors and exhibitors.
The trailer of the film was launched recently.
Shobdo Kolpo Droom releases this summer.
