Anjan Dutt Back in New Srijit Film

RBN Web Desk: Actor-director Anjan Dutt is all set to play a character half his age in Srijit Mukherjee’s next project Uma.

Anjan and Srijit had fallout over Chotushkone, reportedly over payment issues. The film was produced by Dag Creative Media (DCM) and distributed by Reliance Entertainment. Anjan Dutt had reportedly quoted a high fee for his role which was turned by DCM. He walked out of the film and his role was played by Chiranjit, whose performance won critical acclaim.

Anjan, however, returned to play the role of a schizophrenic in Srijit’s Nirbaak which also starred Suhsmita Sen and Jisshu Sengupta. Not that it mended his relationship with Srijit. The latter had assisted Anjan who directed Madly Bangalee (2009). Sriit was also the songwriter of the film, before he went on to make his directorial debut with Autograph in 2010.

According to industry sources, Anjan Dutt has agreed to play a role in Uma because the same production house, SVF Entertainment is producing his next film. It will be Anjan’s first venture with SVF.
