RBN Web Desk: Veteran filmmaker Tarun Majumdar has wrapped up the shooting for his new film. This time, however, it’s not a full length feature film that he’s making but a docu-feature on the unorganised labourers in India. His last film ‘Bhalobasar Bari’ released in 2017.
Speaking to the media earlier, Majumdar said, more than 90 percent workers in India are from the unorganised sector. These include coal mines, tea gardens, construction and others industries. Many people from the Sundarbans work as unorganised labours, and are regularly exploited by their employers, he added.
The docu-feature is now in the post-production stage. The film has no big names in the cast.
The 88-year old filmmaker said that they have tried to make the film as close to reality as possible.
