RBN Web Desk: Actor-director Parambrata Chatterjee is working on two films simultaneously. He recently announced his next directorial Khelechi Ajgubi, a sports-drama film that will have Brazilian model Bruno Ventura in the lead. But he is already directing Shonar Pahar, shooting for which commenced late last year.
Veteran actress Tanuja has been roped in to play the lead in Shonar Pahar, while Jisshu Sengupta plays her son, and Arunima Ghosh the daughter-in-law.
The film, according to Tanuja, is about a woman who adheres to a certain set of value but also has a big ego as a strong and righteous person. How a small child wins over her, forms the crux of the story, she said.
Shonar Pahar explores the mother-son relationship at various levels.
Tanuja had earlier worked in several successful Bengali films like Deya Neya (1963), Antony Firingee (1967), Teen Bhubaner Paare (1969), Rajkumari (1970), and others.
