RBN Web Desk: Veteran actor Nana Patekar, is likely to appear in the Hindi remake of hit Bengali film Bela Seshe, which was directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The film released in May 2015 and went on to become the biggest hit of the year.
Nana Patekar, according to reports, gave his consent to the Hindi remake as soon as he heard the script. He will step into the shoes of legendary Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee in the role of Biswanath Majumdar. Nana felt that the film can deliver a strong message on the institution of marriage and family values to the society.
Soumitra played the lead in Bela Seshe alongside thespian Swatilekha Sengupta. The female lead of the Hindi remake is yet to be locked.
Nana Patekar is not new to the Bengali film industry. He earlier worked with Tapan Sinha in Aaj Ka Robin Hood (1988), and Goutam Ghose in Yatra (2006).
