RBN Web Desk: Mahesh Anand, a popular Hindi film actor of the nineties, was found dead at his Andheri home in Mumbai yesterday under mysterious circumstances. He was 57.
Anand’s body was found in a decomposed state. Police has not ruled out suicide. No suicide note, however, has been recovered. His body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem, the report is expected later today.
Anand was last seen in Pahalaj Nihalnai’s film Rangeela Raja which released last month. The film has Govinda, Mishika Chourasia, and Shakti Kapoor in lead roles.
The actor reportedly had a drinking problem and lived alone. His wife lives in Moscow.
Anand mostly played negative roles in Hindi films. He had worked in several blockbuster films including Coolie No. 1, Swarg, Kurukshetra, Vijeta, and others. He shared screen space with almost all top actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, and Dharmendra.
