RBN Web Desk: Veteran actress Sandhya Roy has said that she would have loved to play a bigger role in Manojder Adbhut Bari. The film is directed by Anindya Chatterjee who had earlier made Open Tee Bioscope (2015) and Projapoti Biskut (2017).
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of an event in Kolkata recently, Roy said, Anindya is a wonderful director and it was a pleasure working with him. However, a meatier role in her comeback film would have been better, she added.
The septuagenarian actress has appeared in more than 400 films and has worked with all top directors in a career spanning nearly six decades.
Roy plays Ranima in Manojder Adbhut Bari and is paired with Soumitra Chatterjee who has been cast as a landlord in the film.
Roy however admitted that after being elected as a lawmaker, she gets much less time to work in films. But she is open to any good offer.
Written by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Manojder Adbhut Bari is one of the most popular children’s novels in contemporary Bengali fiction.
The film releases this Puja.
