RBN Web Desk: Popular Bengali TV serial Kusum Dola, which has mostly been a consistent performer in the television rating point (TRP) charts prepared by the Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC), has dropped out of the top five rank. It had bagged the fourth spot in the TRP chart for the week 17 to 23 March.
BARC released the TRP numbers for the week 24 to 30 March today.
But the biggest surprise was another Star Jalsha serial Phagun Bou which didn’t feature in the top five rank for the week under review. The serial, barely a few days since its first broadcast, had entered the top five club last week. It seems the initial audience interest centering the return of actor Vikram Chatterjee in a lead role, after his brush with the law, waned in the second week of the show.
Kusum Dola had premiered on Star Jalsha on 22 August, 2016.
The top spot, however, was retained by Zee Bangla’s Saat Bhai Champa. Bhojo Gobindo and Seemarekha grabbed the second and third spots respectively. Rakhi Bandhan closed the week at five.
General entertainment channel Colors Bangla, like in the earlier week, failed to make the top five cut again.
