Health Food to Bolster TRP

RBN Web Desk: Popular cookery show Rannagar is all set to air special episodes on health food in the coming weeks as a part of revamping the programme. Some of the upcoming episodes will show the preparation of food with root vegetables. Both traditional Bengali dishes and common recipes will feature in the show.

According to industry sources, Rannaghar will concentrate on the use of healthier spices in cooking, since the younger generation is more health conscious these days. The show recently aired several vegetarian delicacies that are as tasty as the non-vegetarian dishes.

Sources also revealed that the focus on health food is an attempt by the channel to boost the sagging TRP of the show.

Sudipa Chatterjee had hosted Rannaghar uninterruptedly for 13 years before she quit this March. Since then, Rannaghar is being hosted by popular film and TV actress Aparajita Adhya.

While Rannagar has always brought seasonal themes to the show, of late, it is cooking up special recipes in almost all episodes.
