RBN Web Desk: Television and film actor Ambarish Bhattacharya is likely to appear in a Hindi Feluda film to be directed by Pradeep Sarkar. If industry sources are to be believed, the project is tentatively titled Feluda, and Ambarish will play a key role in the film.
The popular actor is presently in Mumbai to shoot for a TV commercial which is being directed by Sarkar. The director is reportedly impressed with his acting skills and is considering him in the project. Reports suggest that Ambarish may ink the contract for the film before he leaves Mumbai for Kolkata.
According to industry sources, the Hindi Feluda film is unlikely to be a remake of Satyajit Ray’s 1974 hit Sonar Kella, as was believed earlier. Rather, it will be a re-adaptation of the text and inspired form the original Bengali film, sources added.
Ambarish has been cast in an important role in Srijit Mukherji’s Uma which is on its way to become a major hit of the year.
